1. Purpose of This Policy

YieldX Foundation (“YieldX,” “we,” “our,” or “the Organization”) is committed to operating ethically, transparently, and responsibly. We strongly oppose all forms of:

  • Modern slavery

  • Forced labor

  • Child labor

  • Human trafficking

  • Debt bondage

  • Exploitative working conditions

This policy outlines our commitment to preventing modern slavery in our operations, supply chain, partnerships, and funding activities.

2. Scope

This policy applies to:

  • All employees (full-time, part-time, and contract)

  • Executives, founders, and board members

  • Volunteers, contractors, and consultants

  • Vendors, suppliers, and third-party service providers

  • Strategic and implementation partners

  • Any entity acting on behalf of YieldX

Compliance with this policy is a condition of engagement.

3. Our Organizational Commitment

YieldX will:

  • Conduct business ethically and in accordance with all applicable anti-slavery and human-rights laws

  • Ensure employees and contractors work voluntarily and without coercion

  • Ensure fair wages, lawful working conditions, and dignity in the workplace

  • Assess, mitigate, and monitor risks relating to modern slavery in our supply chain

  • Reject and report any instance of forced labor or trafficking that we discover

YieldX takes a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery.

4. Due Diligence in Supply Chain and Partnerships

Because YieldX collaborates with technology, fintech, philanthropy, compliance services, and blockchain-related partners, we conduct supplier and partner due diligence that includes:

  • Ethics and compliance screening

  • Risk assessments based on geography, industry, and sourcing model

  • Review of partner integrity, governance, and workforce practices

  • Contractual clauses requiring compliance with anti-slavery legislation

Where high-risk indicators are identified, YieldX may:

  • Request additional documentation

  • Require corrective action

  • Refuse or terminate the partnership

5. Employment Standards

YieldX maintains the following principles:

  • Employment is voluntary — no forced or bonded labor

  • No worker is required to pay recruitment fees

  • Workers have the right to leave employment with reasonable notice

  • No confiscation of passports, identity documents, or financial accounts

  • Wages meet or exceed legal minimums and are paid transparently

  • Working hours comply with labor laws and allow rest and personal time

Child labor is strictly prohibited except in lawful age-appropriate educational or internship settings with parental consent and clear protections.

6. Training and Awareness

YieldX will provide awareness training to:

  • All staff during onboarding

  • Teams involved in procurement, compliance, or partner management

  • Volunteers and representatives where relevant

Training includes:

  • Recognizing signs of forced labor and exploitation

  • Reporting procedures

  • Ethical responsibility in technology and nonprofit operations

7. Reporting, Whistleblowing & Response Procedures

YieldX encourages anyone — employees, partners, donors, or third parties — to report concerns related to exploitation or modern slavery.

Reports can be submitted confidentially via:

YieldX will:

  • Investigate reports promptly and fairly

  • Protect whistleblowers from retaliation

  • Take disciplinary action where breaches occur

  • Notify relevant legal authorities when required

8. Corrective Action and Enforcement

If YieldX identifies a breach of this policy, the Organization may:

  • Suspend or terminate the relationship

  • Require corrective action from the responsible party

  • Audit compliance measures

  • Report violations to regulators, law enforcement, or oversight bodies

Failure to comply with this policy may result in:

  • Termination of contracts

  • Revocation of partnership status

  • Legal action when appropriate

9. Transparency and Monitoring

YieldX will review and update this policy annually or when:

  • Regulations change

  • Organizational structure evolves

  • New risk exposures are identified

Where required by law, YieldX will publish a Modern Slavery Statement detailing our actions, risk assessments, and compliance status.
